TJ Maxx + Marshalls Haul #5

Recently I went to TJ Maxx and Marshall’s. This is my haul with mini-reviews.

Maybelline Gigi Hadid Eyeshadow Palette in Cool – I’ve heard that this collection was pretty over-priced when it came out, which is why I was glad to find it in TJ Maxx. These shadows are pretty soft, but also decently pigmented. I got a nice smoky look out of the palette and I enjoyed using them. The taupe and highlight shades seem to be the strongest out of all the shades in the palette.

Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Stick in Contour – This contour stick is one I used to see on YouTube all the time and it always caught my eye but I never ended up purchasing it before because I always only saw it in a kit with three, and I wasn’t as interested purchasing the other two. The price as Marshall’s was much better and just for one so I bit the bullet. It was extremely creamy and looked very pigmented when I first swiped it on but when I blended it out it had much less of an effect, though I could still tell that something was there. It had a nice enough effect but it’s not my favorite and not something I feel I’m going to use very often.

Discounted Price: $12.99

Full Price: $23

Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Pigment in Bad B – This is a nice coral shade that is more like a melted down lipstick, or pigmented lip gloss, rather than a dry-down matte liquid lipstick. It had decent color pay off and an easy-to-use pointed applicator, and it felt comfortable on the lips and lasted a typical amount of time on my lips. It reminds me a lot of the Milani Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color in formula if you’re looking for something like it you can easily find in the drugstore (I have the shade Tenderness).

Discounted Price: $7.99

Full Price: $24

Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Cava – This lipstick was very creamy and had a kind of nuder-grey tone to it. I’ve always liked Bite Beauty’s lip formulas and found them to be very luxurious, and the color looks wearable enough. My lips felt very comfortable with this on and lasted an average amount of time for a regular lipstick on my lips. I’ll have to experiment with wearing it with more cool-toned looks.

The Creme Shop Pixie Fix 4-Piece Brush Set – These brushes are absolutely mesmerizing as the holographic sparkles in the handle move inside the handle as you move the brushes. They actually worked pretty decently enough – I used the larger brush to set my face with powder and it worked fine, and the smaller brushes worked well enough for detail work on my eye looks. They are synthetic brushes and also actually pretty soft.

Smashbox Smoky Shadow Brush – I have used this pencil brush in nearly every eyeshadow look I’ve made since I bought it – it’s very soft and lends itself perfectly for outer corner work or highlighting my brow bone or inner corner. I’ve been pretty interested in Smashbox brushes lately since I’ve seen them around a lot lately on YouTube and this one definitely did not disappoint, especially for the great price that I got it at.

Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadow in Static Age – This eyeshadow was very pigmented and metallic. It was a little hard to work into looks but lasted a long time and was very smooth.

Discounted Price: $6.99

Full Price: $21

MAC Nicki Minaj Lipstick in The Pinkprint – I absolutely love MAC lipsticks, so when I saw this pink lipstick from the Nicki Minaj collection at TJ Maxx, I knew I had to get it. It went on creamy and was a nice, wearable pink color. It lasted a decent amount of time before wearing off like the average lipstick through meals and eating.

Discounted Price: $9.99

Full Price: $18.50
