Hey guys! Recently I was on the ColourPop website and picked some things up. This is my haul with mini-reviews.
(pictured top to bottom: ColourPop No Filter Foundation in Light 70, ColourPop No Filter Concealer in Medium 22, Medium 26, and Medium Dark 30)
ColourPop No Filter Foundation in Light 70 – I am on the fence about this foundation. It has medium to full coverage, but definitely more leaning towards medium because I can still see any spots I have underneath the foundation. It has a nice semi-matte finish and if I wear enough concealer, I can get away with wearing it for most of the day. When I first tried it though with my Real Techniques Miracle Sculpting Sponge, it went on a little patchy, so I find I’ve had more luck with the Morphe sponge, which has more flat sides to it and absorbs a little bit more of the product so it goes on evenly. It’s definitely not bad for the price but it’s definitely not one of my favorite foundations (some of my favorites are the Fenty Pro Filtr Soft Matte foundation and the Urban Decay All Nighter foundation).
ColourPop No Filter Concealer in Medium 22, Medium 26, and Medium Dark 30 – I’ve tried this concealer before but I decided to try to figure out my shade in their new shades, as they’ve changed them recently. Medium 22 was way too light for my MAC NC35 complexion and I will definitely be passing that onto a friend. Overall they go on very smoothly and have mostly full coverage, though you do need to use more than some other concealers I’ve used (like Tarte Shape Tape). For the $6 price tag though this concealer is definitely a runner.
ColourPop Brow Boss Brow Pencil in Light Brown – I bought this brow pencil on a whim and ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would. It makes making a precise brow very easy with it’s small but rounded tip and is very creamy. My only complaint is that since it is so creamy, you end up using up a lot of the product and after doing only one brow, I feel I have to twist up the product for more to do my other brow. I’m glad that when I bought my second Brow Boss Pencil from them they now include a spoolie at the end of the pencil.
(pictured top to bottom: ColourPop Lux Lipstick in Quickie, Appy, and ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Dreamy)
ColourPop Lux Lipstick in Quickie and Appy – This lipstick in the shade Appy had a very creamy and rich formula and glided on effortlessly. It was a little bit of a deeper nude than I’d typically wear for my skin tone but regardless the formula is definitely on point for this one. The formula on the shade Quickie was a little bit drier and more patchy and this shade was a little bit lighter than I’d typically wear, so there wasn’t a perfect nude in this formula that I’d like to wear personally as they were one shade apart from each other.
ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Dreamy – The Ultra Satin Lips from ColourPop are very liquid-y pigmented creamy glosses, and this color was a very warm peach-y pink that looked very pretty on the lips, though it was a little difficult to apply the shade precisely on the lips. It lasted an average amount of time on my lips – after eating there was still a little bitt here, but most of it faded away.
