Empties: Products I’ve Used Up ||Would I Repurchase? June 2018

It’s about that time where I’ve got a whole bunch more of new empties (or products I’ve finished up) so I thought I’d share with you what I thought about them and if I would re-purchase them or not.

Neutrogena Night Calming Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes – I absolutely loved these! These are some of if not the best makeup removing wipes that I’ve used. They’re very soft and very full of makeup-remover so sometimes I only need to use one side of the wipe to get all my makeup off. Also they smell nice as well, like a little bit of lavender so they can be “calming”. I’ve used up two packs of these already.

Shiseido Facial Cotton – I’ve spoken about these a long time ago on my blog before, but these cotton squares are absolutely wonderful and luxurious. They’re very soft around the eyes, and not overly expensive, plus they take off makeup faster than regular cotton squares. I’d say if you’re in the mood to treat yourself, these are definitely worth a look at (they’re only about $10 for a full pack and it will last you a really long time). This is the second pack of these that I’ve used up.

Fenty Pro Filtr Soft Matte Foundation – I’ve definitely sung the praises about this foundation multiple times. It’s my favorite go-to foundation because it’s full-coverage and matte while still looking relatively natural, and just having a great finish on your skin all-around. It lasts all day on my skin and I already have a new bottle that I’m using.

Ouai Hair Oil – This product has lasted me a long time. It makes my hair feel soft and nourished and looking better all-around. During the Sephora VIB sale I picked up two more of these because I can’t be with without this product.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer – This concealer needs no introduction since it’s blown up to be a cult-favorite in the beauty community, but I absolutely adore this for being full-coverage, with a relatively thin consistency, and just covering absolutely everything I need to cover while lasting all day. I bought a back-up a long time ago and am using that correctly.

L’oreal Brow Definer – I’ve used so many of these that I can’t count. It’s a great dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz and great for getting a precisely defined brow. Recently though I feel like it takes a little bit to build it up though in your brows, and the tip snaps off and breaks very easily if it’s twisted up even a little it too much, so for that reason I’ve moved onto using other brow pencils for the time being.

Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil – This pencil isn’t my favorite, but it’s still pretty decent. The tip is a little thicker than I’m accustomed to, so sometimes it doesn’t make as precisely defined of a brow look that I usually like, but it is pigmented and does make doing your brows in a rush a bit easier.

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Blacquer – This was a sample of this pencil that I got, I think probably the second one that I’ve had. This is my favorite black eyeliner because it goes on very easily, is very creamy and black, and doesn’t smudge on me, and lasts all day. I have the full-size of this that I’m currently using.

It’s a 10 Miracle Hair Mask – I bought this sample while I was looking for a great new hair mask. Overall it wasn’t my favorite hair mask as I didn’t think it hydrated or nourished my hair especially more than usual, especially for the price. Currently I’m using the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner and the Pureology Hydrate Conditioner and I would recommend those.

Those were my empties! What did you think? Have you used any of these products, have any recommendations, or inspired to use anything new? Leave your thoughts in the comments below! Xo Whatever Lydia Does xo

  1. I’ve tried the marc jacobs pencil but wasn’t a huge fan. I liked the formula but I prefer pencil eyeliners I can sharpen to get a more precise application
