Sephora VIB Sale + Ulta Haul

There have been a lot of sales going on in the beauty world right now, and lord knows that I can’t resist a sale. This is what I picked up from the Sephora VIB sale and a recent 20% off coupon I got from Ulta.

Fenty Pro Filtr Soft Matte Foundation – This is the third bottle of this foundation that I’ve picked up, and I’ve talked about this on my blog before. This is very matte but gives full-coverage while still being natural looking, and is the front runner for my favorite foundation, so when I saw I was starting to run even a little bit low on my current bottle I knew this sale was the time to pick up a new bottle.

Hourglass Vanish Foundation – I’ve heard so much hype on this foundation for the longest time so when the sale rolled around I knew I had to get it. It’s very full-coverage and has a nice creamy texture though I noticed I had to use quite a lot of it to cover my whole face, which is kind of common these days since I want the fullest coverage possible to last all day while hopefully not looking caky.

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara – I actually haven’t broken into this tube yet but I had a sample of this that I was using and decided I needed the full size. The mascara is so voluminous and thickening right away without having to add many coats, and I decided to get the regular version though I typically get waterproof just because I’ve heard mixed things on the waterproof version online (and I can go over it with my waterproof mascara to make it waterproof).

Tarte Finger Foil Paints Shadow Palette – I’ve really been wanting to amp up my eyeshadow game lately and try new exciting things, and this swatched so pigmented, metallic, and creamy in the store. It goes on so opaquely and vibrant on the lid so easily and lasts looking so all day. So far I’ve only used the bronze and the champagne shade but they were absolutely beautiful.

Shiseido Facial Cotton – I love the Shiseido Cotton to take off my makeup and sometimes to use toner with so I decided to stock up during the sale. The cotton is thick and very soft and luxurious and you generally only need one to use both eyes and more when taking off your makeup so A++ from me. Once you use Shiseido Cotton you generally can’t go back.

Ouai Hair Oil – I’ve almost completely used up the Ouai Hair Oil that I bought during the last VIB sale so this was another stock-up where I bought two because I use this hair oil so often – nearly every time I get out of the shower, whether I washed my hair or not. It really moisturizes my hair and has a lovely luxurious smell and texture and I believe I”ve talked about this on my blog in a favorites before as well.

Flower Beauty Shimmer and Strobe Highlighting Palette – This highlighting palette is very blinding and metallic. I usually use all the colors mixed together. It doesn’t last as long as some of my other highlights but it does show very brightly when it’s on and is very pretty.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter – This product has been so hyped up in the beauty community so I had to get it. To be honest, though it is extremely beautiful and blinding/long-lasting, I couldn’t see much of a difference between this and other highlighters that I have, though I would still definitely recommend it.

NYX Worth the Hype mascara – People were claiming that this would be both volumizing and lengthening, and just everything else that you want in a mascara. It is minorly volumizing and lengthening, but it didn’t make my lashes as thick as I normally like them.

Wet ‘n Wild Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner – This eyeliner went on smoothly and was very pigmented, and was very easy to do a wing with. Unfortunately, being only $2.99, it bled like crazy and made my eyes very irritated and watery so for that reason I can’t recommend it.

The was my Sephora VIB and Ulta coupon sale haul! Let me know what you picked up during the sale, and any thoughts in the comments below! XO Whatever Lydia Does – xo
