Now, the fact that I used to work at a shoe store alone counts for the fact that I have far more shoes than this. However, these are the current shoes in my late winter/early spring Shoe Wardrobe, or my Shoedrobe. (Nice, right?) Here are a few key trends I’m noting for footwear right now.
The Velvet Boot
Now, the velvet trend is absolutely a staple trend this coming few seasons. The pair I have here are velvet combat boots. They’re a practical nod to the trend, I even walked through some snow storms with them on. A velvet piece is a key trend to watch out for in the coming months.
The Statement Trainers
Pretty much any statement making sneakers are a must-have piece this year to attest to the athleisure trend. The ones in this shot are the Suede Classic Pumas, and one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe right now to wear with nearly everything. They add just the right element of “lit” to almost any casual-to-slightly dressier outfit. I would advise sizing up a size or two in this particular pair because they run small.

The Funky ‘Gucci’ Slip Ons
This pair I got simply just for fun, which should be the reason for purchasing pretty much any pair of shoes, right? The charms are inspired by Gucci and Anya Hindmarch charms and embellishments the past few and current season. They’re definitely a conversation starting eclectic pair to give your looks a little “juzz”.

The Faux Timberlands
Now of course you could wear the actual Timberlands and get the look with this shoe. I chose to go a much more cost-friendly piece to, pun slightly intended, dip my toe into the look. They give a bit of street, Insta star feel, (Kind of hip-hop inspired) feel to anything you wear them with. Or you can wear them with flannel and still get the classic vibe while nodding to the style. It’s a great staple piece to have in your wardrobe if you’re looking to spice things up and have the freshest style.
