Liquid lipsticks have completely taken over the beauty market – nearly every time I go to reach for a lip product these days (other than chapstick) one of the first things I want to grab is a liquid lipstick. They just last so much longer and have the convenience factor of not needing to worry about re-applying throughout the day.
L’oreal came out in the last few months with these liquid lipsticks which are extremely long-lasting, and I have some swatches and lip swatches of the shades I have. Typically when I like a formula I just buy typically one or two shades, but also with their being such an affordable price, I couldn’t resist grabbing nearly all the shades that interested me.
I find that this formula lasts nearly so much longer than all of my other liquid lipsticks I own, which is their main appeal. They last through hours and hours and pretty much near all the meals of the day without needing to touch up once. They are slightly sticky if you press yours lips together and almost take off some of the product, but this is something I personally don’t mind due to how long they last. They also smell strongly of buttercream frosting. Now I’m going to run through individual shade reviews.
(left, shade Cowboy)
Cowboy is the most wearable and my favorite shade of them all. It’s a warm orange-brown nude that goes on pigmented and easily, and goes well with many different looks.
(second to left, shade Angora)
Angora is a little more difficult shade to wear as more of a lavender light-grey nude. The formula is still even and goes on as well as the others.
(middle, shade Milk and Cookies)
Due to the darker nature of the grey-based purple tint in this, it’s a little difficult to pull of this shade without looking dead. The texture is a little thick but still goes now with consistently of the others
(second to right, shade Stirred)
This is my least favorite shade of the ones I have, and is the only I don’t like. I really wanted to like it because this kind of dark red color is usually similar to colors I like and are usually really pretty but it goes on patchy and only gets more throughout the rest of the day. I wouldn’t recommend the one.
(right, shade Roseblood)
Roseblood is great if you’re in a more vampy mood although you do want to be a little difficult to apply since that it’s a darker color. The applicator which is bigger and pointed doe-foot applicator (though I mostly don’t have this problem), might make it difficult to apply to smaller lips, which you might want to keep an eye out for.
Overall this is one of my favorite liquid lip products and my favorite from the drugstore. Though because they are so long-lasting they are little bit drying like a lot of matte liquid lipsticks, so just keep in mind to apply a lip balm after wearing one of these. If you are someone who would like to re-apply their lip products less this might be a life savior for you.
