Hey everybody! I have combination to oily skin and this is something I like to keep in mind when buying products especially now that it is summer and I’m more oily. Here are some products I’d recommend if you have the same skin type and are looking for something. This first part will include skincare and the second part I will post will have makeup recommendations.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil – Great if you are looking for something to help your skin, especially because I know us oily skin girls are more prone to having acne-prone skin if you’re looking for something to get rid of spots (Pro tip: also great to mix with any of the clay masks I’m about to mention to get rid of any zits!)
Queen St. Helen’s Mint Julep Masque – Time-honored classic but I’d just thought I’d mention it because it is so inexpensive and actually pretty effective, it’s a must-have if you like masks or are just getting started getting into using masks!
Freeman’s Mint and Lemon Clay Mask – You get a totally refreshing feeling when you use this and I love how it smells! Helps keep your skin clear like a lot of these and it is one of my favorites to reach for when I’m having more problematic skin
Loreal Detox n Brighten Charcoal Clay Mask – This one is a little more intense! This is more like a true clay mask so a little bit more on the thicker side and very good at leaving your skin soft and free of impurities
Freeman Charc Facial Polishing Scrub / Mask – This is a staple for a lot of people but I’d thought I’d recommend it because keeping with the charcoal theme, it is very good at pulling out the gunk we don’t like in our skin as oily-skinned people and also it’s still pretty good if you just use it as an exfoliant (whereas leaving it on longer will just help the scrub in being melted down into a finer scrub)
Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask – Third charcoal item in a row but I’d still like to mention it because it’s a much more gentle clay mask so it’s a much more suitable option for people who like to mask more often 👌(I see all you people on SC/Insta stories who like to mask 👀)
Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub – I don’t always use salicylic acid in my skincare products, but this is a nice scrub to have around. It exfoliates and cleans pretty well, I’d just say to use it once or twice a week instead of everyday just to avoid over-exfoliating, but if you are really dealing with acne problems you might be interested in it
That was part one of my combo/oily skin recommendations, watch out for part two with makeup for combo/oily skin tomorrow! xThe Blog En Blogue
